Thinking

Ignorance Is Bliss! ... And even though I disagree with that statement sometimes. I do believe in it.

You see the problem with thinking too much about stuff is that you tend to over-complicate simple things. Its very easy to lose focus on the things that are important.

Being an only child for me was kind of different. I found solace in thinking. It all started with just closing my eyes and day-dreaming. I would cook up all sorts of stuff in my head, from being mega rich (everyones fantasy) to just being a great giver (something I love to do), and some other stuff I would not tell you. But yes! I did daydream a lot and I mean A LOT.

As I grew older and as life taught me more, I started to really reflect less on what could be to what has been and how it should have been. I started analyzing and self-criticizing everything I did. At first, it was rather strange because then I became more mature - (It is good to be matured, but with time). It was almost as if I was going a bit faster. I really don't know whether it was a matter of consequence or conviction.

Now, I see a whole lot of things at a weirder angle than most folks my age or even older. Thats a good thing sometimes, but most times its bad.

You see, when you think a lot you start to become calculative; and when you calculate a lot you tend to want everything to be just perfect; and when you want things to become perfect you become a control freak; and when you become a control freak you lose sight of those details that make life worth it. And when all your calculations fail and your perfect little world comes crumbling down, when you look back, you would see that if you had just allowed things to unfold naturally, life would have surprised you with something perfect (or not).

You see, I started writing this post with something else in mind, thought a lot and forgot what I wanted to write. Now I have ended with something totally different.

I guess what I am trying to say is, allow life to surprise you. You can plan and all that but for the most part let things be!

And ..... Yes .... Ignorance is bliss!
